STAG As most of you know, India has not allowed the export of stag for several years but we have been able to get some antler outside of India. At the present time we have Chital, Red Deer, Rusa and some Sambar. It comes to us in rough form and we are cutting and dyeing it (if necessary) here. We have Crowns, Sticks and Tips – very few slabs. This material is difficult to catalog because the sizes are not consistent. We suggest that you contact us with your specific requirements and we will do our best to help you.
In 2005 we received two shipments of stag which had finally been released by the Indian government. This was material which been gathered and held by our supplier before the ban went effect but not allowed to be shipped after the ban went into effect.
This does not mean that the trade has been or will be resumed – only that the material that was legally accumulated before the ban could be released for shipment.
